I'm thrilled to be cast in my first web-series!
Playing Beth, one of the leads in Tom Skerritt's STROLLER GANGS;
a super fun Web Series that takes place here in Seattle. A group of Women who are friends going through the ins and outs of being a mom in modern day.
Sex and the City meets Desperate Housewives.

This has been the year of the voice!
It all started with a Linklater voice intensive with Judith Shahn & Kimberly White last summer. I now find myself in Freehold's Singing for Actors class with Lucia Neare, in preparation for my upcoming portrayal of Agnes in Agnes of God. -Agnes of God has been chosen to take part in Freehold Theatre's INCUBATOR Studio Series! Theatre Verity will be performing an excerpt from the play March 28th & 30th. Listen to an ADR clip of the ALIEN film where I got to play Ripley!--------> |

{{I am so ready for this!!}}
it seems so fitting that my commercial has been airing on channel 4, since
that's where i got my start! my dad was "the voice of KOMO" (booth announcer)
years ago and as a "KOMO kid" i got to shoot some psa's for the station.
i immediately felt at home in the studio, and got a kick out of turning on the t.v.
to see myself wishing everyone "Happy Holidays".
Rumor has it..
These past few months have been busy!
*Shot a commercial which will begin airing on local networks in May/June 2012.
*What Light accepted into ReelHeART International Film Festival.
*Desert Cathedral to screen at the Champs Elysees Film Festival in Paris.
*The short film Snorkel screened at STIFF.
*The MarQueen held a private screening at Seattle Cinerama.
*Performed in TheFilmSchool's staged reading of DODGERS at ACT.
{Also there have been plenty of auditions; for one of which I spent the day roaming a cemetery, preparing to embody a peasant woman searching for her son in a bloody battlefield.}
I'm producing a show! All the hours I can spare these days are being invested in New Amerikan Theatre's summer offering:

FALL 2011:
Cast in the SAG ultra low budget feature Desert Cathedral, shooting in November. I'm stoked that i get to play such a fun character role! I'll be playing 'Sandy', a whore trimmed in 80's garb. There's something really liberating about embodying a character that isn't so pretty. Just a regular old person, pure and simple.
{{I cannot wait for my costume fitting tonight! I hear there's a jumpsuit in mind ;O}}
I've spent the past month or so working on character development for the upcoming 30-min short,
The MarQueen
The film explores the tale of Cupid & Psyche with themes of jealousy, fear, lust and rage, placed in a modern-day brothel. I play a whore who is fighting to maintain her position of power as new girls keep cropping in.
{{I've been waiting for the chance to play a character that I can really sink my teeth into!}}

Being a producer has great perks! I get a little cameo as a
Sears & Roebuck catalog girl in New Amerikan Theatre's upcoming show,
Riding the Bull. Watch for me in GL's (a skinny rodeo clown) stream of consciousness, come see the show: July 22 - Aug 13, 2011.

(foiled again! due to technical difficulties the slide show of consciousness didn't make it into the play)

Just wrapped the feature film In the First Few Days, by Todd Redenius.
Inspired by GRINDHOUSE: Planet Terror, this sci-fi / horror / post-apocalyptic GRINDHOUSE film was action packed and funny as hell! Had a blast playing Tami, the sexy warrior chick with a surprising comedic edge.

STINGS LIKE ACID premiering Nov 12-27
In the summer of 2009 we ladies of New Amerikan Theatre decided to write a play together about such
things as:
Quantum Physics, isolation and inter-dependence
using movement / dance, soundscape and mythology.
3 weeks before opening and I think we've managed to stay pretty true to our original intentions...we'll see how it unfurls!

Butoh Workshop for STINGS LIKE ACID
We kicked off rehearsals for
STINGS LIKE ACID with a Butoh workshop led by the incredible Diana Garcia-Snyder. She just agreed to be our choreographer! Now we'll get to weave Butoh into our story-telling.

The Thugs

This Staged Reading of The Thugs is a trial in "Site-Specific Theatre"
(also referred to as Environmental Theatre)
We will be rehearsing & performing in the Boardroom at the Rep
The Director has been leading us in VIEWPOINTS exercises to explore the work
which seems to go hand-in-hand with my current study of IMPROV.
(This is sure to be an evocative process!)

love, violence & loneliness
love, violence & loneliness (working title) is taking shape! I've found myself drawing upon the story of Eurydice, as her plight resonates down to my core.
It seems that the stories/roles that frighten me the most are
the ones that most need to be expressed through me.
No one said that fear doesn't exist within courage;
in fact, I believe it is the FEAR that carves out the demand for
COURAGE.
